New Partner Role in Moticheck – More Flexibility and Collaboration
Our latest release brings an important improvement to Moticheck – the Partner role, designed to support flexible team structures and cross-functional collaboration. 🎉
Why does it matter?
Until now, Moticheck offered three user roles: employee, manager, and administrator. But as many of our clients know, real-life organizations don’t always follow strict role definitions. Often, there are professionals who support a team without being its official manager. That’s where the Partner role comes in.
What is the Partner role?
The Partner role is a new type of access that can be granted by an administrator. A partner:
- can see team results, just like a manager;
- can use manager-level tools, such as providing feedback or creating action plans;
- is not officially listed as a team or department manager – they support, but do not replace.
The Partner role is also visible in the user’s settings, so everyone knows what permissions they have.
When should you use the Partner role?
This role fits a variety of real-world situations, including:
- An HR partner supporting a specific team or department;
- A temporary manager replacing someone on leave;
- Teams with more than one leader, or with a secondary/supporting leader;
- Functional or development roles where someone supports a team without managing it officially.
There are many possible use cases – the Partner role gives you the flexibility to reflect how your organization truly operates.
How to assign the Partner role?
Only administrators can assign this role in Moticheck. If your organization includes people who support teams in a non-managerial capacity, talk to your admin about enabling this role for them.
