What leadership actually looks like today. Reflections from Martin Rajasalu’s PARE interview
Recently, our CEO, Martin Rajasalu, was featured in an interview by PARE, the Estonian Association for HR Management Development. It’s not a typical interview. It reads more like a reflection on what leadership actually looks like today.
One idea that comes through quite clearly is that work has become more complex, but the way we lead hasn’t fully caught up. Expectations toward leaders are higher than ever. At the same time, many decisions are still made with limited visibility into what’s really happening inside teams. So people rely on intuition. Sometimes it works. Often it doesn’t.
Martin talks about this quite directly. He also touches on the idea that employee experience isn’t a “soft topic,” something that sits at the core of Moticheck. It’s something you can actually see, understand, and use when making decisions. Not in theory, but in day-to-day leadership.
The interview also gives a sense of how much Moticheck is shaped by Martin’s own thinking. If you’re thinking about how leadership is changing (or struggling with it yourself), it’s worth a read.
